flowers for the first week of May

May is always a month of flowers and as well as the ongoing apple blossom, sweet cicely, forget me nots, dandelions, land cress and more are these lovelies:

all together now …..
Welsh onions
small hebe, planted for our granddaughter
ceanothus – I planted a small bush beneath the elder which is the leaves you can see
salsify – the first one I have been able to take that was not swaying in the wind, they have actually been flowering for weeks!
bush vetch (with forget me not) self seeded
lady’s smock, self seeded
aubretia (has been in flower since April)
